Festival of Flavor Returns to Downtown Foley

The 5th Annual Alabama Festival of Flavor returns to Downtown Foley, sponsored by Riviera Utilities, is set to take place Saturday, Oct. 8. A kick-off for the Festival, the Chicago Street Supper Club, will take place on Thursday, Oct. 6. The dinner is a five course meal served with wines from around the world. The dinner is held at Wolf Bay Lodge in Foley, Alabama with food being prepared by Chef Ron Stone (Wolf Bay Lodge) and Chef Brandon Thrash (Faulkner State). Dinner is $75/person.

Presented by the South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce, The Festival of Flavor showcases the many flavors of local and regional foods, wines and craft beers. This food, wine and craft beer event is focused on locally-grown and produced products. Local Chefs will be preparing unique dishes and brewers from around the state will be on hand to discuss their uniquely crafted beers. Festival guests can stroll the streets of Historic Downtown Foley while sipping and savoring specialty wines, craft beer and delectable cuisine. Catch your favorite team on the big screen in the Game Day tent, sample menu favorites from local restaurants in the Foodie Fix area, learn about wine pairings or home brewing in the Edutainment Tent or visit the Tastings Area for savory tapas paired with wine. The Festival will give chefs an opportunity to qualify for the World Food Championship that will take place in November at The Wharf in Orange Beach. The winner of the World Food Championship will receive $100,000 in cash and prizes and be named The World Food Champion! The festival will also have its own competition for People’s Choice.

Admission to the festival is free. Tickets to be a sampler of the offerings are available at alabamafestivalofflavor.com/tickets or available at the gate.
